Endangered Species

 

The animals are on wheels, as if they are toys. All too soon, if human beings do not change their actions, representations of these animals may be all that is left.

The sculptures are hand–made, domestic in scale and

unique. I see them as decorative objects that will become

collectable pieces. Each animal has the essence of the

animal it is depicting plus a dash of humour. This is a nod

to the animals on wheels that children have played with

since the early Dynastic Period in Egypt.
